Highland Adventure with Langit
At 3,000ft above sea level, Long Semadoh valley is a raw gem quietly tucked in the highlands of Lawas, Sarawak. Its breathtaking views, pristine air and beautiful streams simply illustrates the beauty of the great outdoors that rural Malaysia has to offer. This 20 - 23rd July 2018, Langit is extending our invitation to you, to join us on a 4 Days 3 Nights Highland Adventure.
Explore this lesser known valley that’s teeming with natural beauty and soak in the warmth of the Lun Bawang hospitality. This trip will also be in conjunction with a local pineapple festival organized by the local community of Puneng Trusan village. A village known for its prized produce - Pineapples!

4D3N Itinerary (Full Board)
Arrive in the quaint town of Lawas, Sarawak. Fill your tummy with a simple lunch and begin your journey into the highlands, en route to Long Semadoh Valley. Brave the 5 hours bumpy 4x4 off road ride to arrive at your local homestay. Wind down with dinner and an early night in the village.
Kickstart your morning with a tour to a series of villages that makes up the breathtaking valley. Visit the local weavers of Long Telingan village, trek through history in a 1-hour scenic walk starting from the Long Semadoh airport runway towards the village of Long Tanid. Discover the story of the Lun Bawang people through folklores and artifacts from their ancestral past. In the afternoon, you will join the highlight of the trip - Irau Bua Kaber (Pineapple festival). This community organized festival is the 2nd instalment since its inception.
Spend a lazy morning in the village or you can also join the locals in their Sunday church service. After lunch, we will depart the homestay and head down to the Merarap Hot Springs for a little indulgence in nature. Spend the night in this locally run hot spring and feast on a befitting parting BBQ dinner.
After an early breakfast, we will depart the Merarap Hot Springs and stop over at Long Lidung village to visit the freshwater river fish conservation. This is a community-run project headed by a passionate local, Pak Raut. You will be get to soak your feet in the river and maybe even get a natural fish spa session! Arrive in Lawas by noon. End of tour.

Ground transportation by 4x4 covers duration of travel mentioned in the 4days 3 nights itinerary only.
Village homestay and Merarap Hot Spring’s accommodation. These will be basic rooms and on a 2-3 pax/room sharing basis. Basic amenities like power and toilet is available, comfort items like hot showers and hair dryers are not.
All basic meals for the duration of the trip are covered. Additional F&B purchases during pineapple festival are not included.
Entrance fee to Long Lidung village’s river conservation site.
Travel insurance for duration of tour.
Fee Excludes
Flights or transportation to town of Lawas, Sarawak.
All cost incurred during free & easy sessions.

Reservations must be made before 29th June 2018. Space is based on first-come-first serve basis.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of the trip will be subject to a charge equal to 100% of the booking. Cancellations made 1 to 3 days before the start of the trip will be subject to a charge equal to 50% of the booking.
A non- refundable deposit of RM200 is payable to Langit Collective PLT at (Unless tour is cancelled by Langit). Balance fee of RM1,400 to be collected upon booking deadline on 29th June 2018. Fees to be made to Langit Collective PLT, Maybank account - 512482491989.

Be mentally prepared for bumpy roads in the mountainous region, and/or potential delays due to weather conditions.
Village surroundings are basic and can be muddy when it rains.
Village homestays & Merarap Hot Springs offer very basic amenities and rooming will be on sharing basis. Basic toilet and mattress available. No hot shower.
Communication. Telco connectivity is unreliable and mostly unavailable at most times. Maxis works best when connectivity is available.
