Concept and Idea
LANGIT’s 2021 Chinese New Year Gift Box’s theme of “Spring Renascence” is inspired by the Song Dynasty’s Chinese saying ——— 开门七件事: 柴米油盐酱醋茶. It can be loosely translated as the seven basic necessities of every household — Fuel (literally wood), Rice, Oil, Salt, Sauce, Vinegar and Tea.
THE COLLABORATIONS
To bring this concept beyond the usual festive gifting, we teamed up with local design house — Kongsi Design to come up with a hyperlocal Malaysian interpretation of the 7 basic necessities.
Our curation seeks to highlight the works of dedicated Malaysians and to pay homage to their artistry. We are proud to present the best that our homeland and what her people have got to offer to provide you and your loved ones with all the seven basics and beyond!
Great things can never be accomplished by one person.
A creative company, “一亻一半 kongsi” (to share) embrace every half that makes a whole in a relationship.
We value our clients as partners, our suppliers as part of the team, and Kongsi members as our family.
Together, we kongsi ideas, kongsi tangan, kongsi watak and kongsi dream.
