Guilt-free Nasi Lemak Recipe with Beras Salleh

Guilt-free Nasi Lemak Recipe with Beras Salleh

Can Nasi Lemak ever be a less sinful meal?

Watch how we hack this national classic with a slightly "healthier" twist using Langit's Beras Salleh:

Ingredients
Guilt-free rice
  • 2 cups of Langit's Beras Salleh
  • 2 cups of water
  • 3 tbsp of virgin coconut oil
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • ½ tsp of sugar
  • 1 small knob of ginger, sliced
  • 2 sprigs of pandan leaf knotted

Instructions:

Step 1
To remove excess powdered rice, rinse 2 cups of Beras Salleh until water runs clear.

Step 2
Add slices of ginger, knotted pandan leaf, salt, sugar and virgin coconut oil.

Step 3
Place the gohan nabe on the flame.

Step 4
Turn off the flame when steam starts to escape from the lid.

Step 5
Keep the lids on, let the rice steam and cook through for 15-20mins.

Step 6
Drizzle 1 tbsp of virgin coconut oil onto cooked rice and fold through.

And, we're ready to serve.
